Meet The Team

Tracy Turner RGN SCPHN BSc(OH)

Hi there, I'm Tracy.
I have over 40 years experience in nursing. Working in theatres, A&E and ITU before specialising in Occupational health in 2009. 6 years ago I decided to retire. I had become despondent with working for large companies working many hours and travelling large distances. I was tired. However within the first week of ‘retirement’ I started my own company Turners Occupational Health & Well-being Services from my dining room - I had zero clients.

It was a gamble but I have worked since I was 16 so suddenly not doing so was difficult ! Today 6 years later, Turners OH employ 6 staff, we have 2 clinics one in Attleborough and one in Wymondham and associates across the country. We have a growing portfolio of business and look forward to supporting many more as we work towards SEQOHS accreditation.

I really enjoy what I do and have a fantastic team who all go over and above to ensure clients are supported. Yes I am proud of what we have achieved - it’s had its ups and downs. A dreadful 2 years like most during Covid but we are survivors who work together to deliver excellent service to our clients.
Never give up on a dream!

Emma Turner

Hi, I’m Emma - Manager of Clear Sounds UK.

I joined Turners Occupational Health in 2021 after 8 years working with the elderly.

At first I was a bit apprehensive regarding a change of career however I am now confident enjoying the role of Occupational Health Technician delivering a wide range of services to both clients on site or our clinics in Wymondham or Attleborough.

It’s a varied role where I meet new people who are exposed to work place hazards and require assessments to ensure their health is not being affected ensuring they are fit to undertake their role.

I am now competent in completing hearing tests, respiratory tests, assessing skin and those who work with hand arm vibration tools for health surveillance. In addition I complete the medicals for critical workers.

Last year I added to my skills portfolio and attended training for both ear wax micro suction and foot care practitioner. It so nice to see the benefits these services bring to the general public especially now GPs do not seem to be providing them.

I feel the skills I already had learnt when working with the elderly and disabled have helped me communicate empathetically with a lot of our clients.

The past 2 years have been filled with training and working hard to achieve my goals. Recently I have been promoted to Manager of the Clear Sounds UK section of the business.

Being a part of the  Turners Team has been very rewarding on many levels.  I am excited to expand my knowledge further, add value to the business and continue to meet new people.

Lizzie Fuller

Hi I’m Lizzie - Occupational Health Administrator and Accounts.

In October last year I wanted a more challenging role and was given the opportunity to join Turners Occupational Health as a receptionist.

This year the role has been developed to Occupational Health administrator and Accounts.

It is important to respond promptly to both clients and their employees as well as potential new customers. I have learnt the processes to ensure a smooth appointment system and maintain strict control of confidentiality at all times. I arrange all the occupational health bookings and liase closely with both the clients and the employees to ensure both are provided with the relevant information.

I have received training on howhow to complete Quick Books. It send out invoices and ensure the accounts  balance for the end of year tax returns.

We are always busy so it’s been a challenge - but one I have enjoyed. It’s been interesting meeting new people. My knowledge base has grown and I look forward to what the future holds.

Hi I’m Zanny - Occupational Health Technician and DSE Assessor.

I joined Turners Occupational Health and Well-being Services last year as an Occupational Health Technician. It is an exciting and different challenge after working as a funeral director for several years. I am also a hypnotherapist and in my final year of training to be a psychotherapist so it was important that I continued working in an environment where I was helping others.

I have attend comprehensive training and have been competently delivering health surveillance clinics to local business for several months.

Businesses  have a legal duty to ensure that their staff exposed to hazards remain healthy. My role is to assess the employees hearing, respiratory, skin and HAVs reporting back to a senior OH adviser if there are any abnormalities identified.

In addition I complete the assessments for safety critical worker medicals to ensure they are fit to undertake their role.

Recently I have completed additional training to assess workers display screen equipment (DSE) set up to help prevent any muscular skeletal issues. It’s an exciting, varied role where each day presents new challenges.

Since joining the Turners Team I have learnt many new skills and look forward to what the future may hold.

Harry Turner

Hi I’m Harry.
Just over 3 years ago I made the decision to join Turners Occupational Health following 15 years of working with adults and children who have learning disabilities. Initially I learnt the Occupational Health Technician role and became confident in delivering health surveillance clinics and safety critical medical.

Following lock down I was promoted to business manager. Knowing that we needed to diversify I attended training for ear wax removal by microsuction and set up a subsection of the business, ‘Clear Sounds’.

Our clients also mentioned that they would like a foot care service therefore last year Emma and I attended further training and are now both trained foot care specialists. The clinic in Attleborough has become very busy and so in January we opened a clinic in Wymondham where I mainly work from.

It’s been really rewarding learning new specialist treatments, supporting clients through the business health surveillance programme and meeting so many new, interesting people. This year I have been made a Director for Turners Occupational Health and look forward to what the future holds.

Charlotte Hayes

Hi I’m Charlotte – Occupational Health Technician.

I joined Turners Occupational Health and Well-being Services in September 2023 as an Occupational Health Technician.  I started my occupational health career in 2000 ‘working my way up the ladder’ in various administrative positions. An opportunity to take a side step into the Technician role in 2017 became available that enabled me to put my acknowledge and experience I had gained throughout my career into practise, subsequently gaining my OHT Diploma from the University of South Wales in 2019 with a Merit. I am fully trained and competent in undertaking Health Surveillance and Safety Critical medicals including audio and lung function screening as well as phlebotomy and drug & alcohol testing.  What I love about the Technician role is that it is so diverse and no working day is the same.  I also enjoy building rapports with clients and their staff.

Outside of work, I show our youngest dog, Tetley the Tibetan Terrier! This is a whole new realm for us as we’ve only been showing since August 2022 but by December ’22, he was qualified for Crufts ’23 and this year he has qualified 3 times so far for Crufts ’24 which as complete novices to the show world, is a huge achievement.

We’ll call you
